Twitter Backgrounds

Voilá! Here's a collection of original Twitter backgrounds, each and every one of which I'd be proud to use on my own Twitter profile. And when I say original, I mean one bazillion per cent, as in, no copyrighted images whatsoever. These were all worked up entirely from scratch using a graphics editor and/or are my own photos.

And after working for several weeks on this first batch of 40 Twitter layouts, they formed a coalition behind my back and began to loosely group themselves into specific categories.

And these are:

Cool Twitter Backgrounds

Here I generally went for the abstract and colorful, the main idea being to avoid creating backgrounds where the design element was ruined when your Twitter profile is viewed in smaller screen resolutions. Some of them were reworked in a couple or three different colors to try to cover all the bases regarding people's color preferences.

Plain Twitter Backgrounds

For those looking for something sober, quiet and subtly decorative, here are some plain textured Twitter backgrounds. All my Twitter backgrounds are free to use and are provided with matching color codes you can use to tweak the text and other elements on your Twitter web page.

Dark Twitter Backgrounds

Some of these dark-colored backgrounds are based on one my most popular MySpace layouts which started out as a photo of an office building here in downtown Montreal, Quebec. Then I photoshopped it (heavily), added some special effects and this was the result. Well actually I had to 'twitterify' it a little bit (run it through a specialized PSP Twitter template) to get what you see here... :o)

Cute Twitter Backgrounds

These girly Twitter layouts (ewwww! cooties!... heh heh.. just kidding..) are based on my flower photos and in most cases I actually grew the flowers as well. (Talk about homegrown, eh?). Installing my Twitter backgrounds (and matching color codes) is a snap. It shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. Full step-by-step instructions are provided.

Music Twitter Backgrounds

If you're promoting your band on Twitter or are just a big music fan, here are some Twitter backgrounds with a musical theme. Once again, these are all my own photos so there are no copyright violations here. All these backgrounds are free to use but they are subject to a few simple terms of use (see below).

And wanna see what I consider to be the best of the bunch?

Then check out this page...

Best Twitter Backgrounds

When these Twitter backgrounds came preening and strutting out of my graphics editor, the first thing they did was smack me in the face and say, "Hey you! I'm something special!" So I had to give them their own special page (otherwise they'd get really upset). Check them out and show 'em some love... :o)

TERMS OF USE

Now you do realize that to use these Twitter backgrounds, you are required to sign away your first born child and send one kazillion dollars (in small denominations) to the following address—

(*ahem*)

Big grin

Heh heh..

JUST KIDDING.

No, but seriously, there are indeed a few simple TERMS OF USE. I thank you for respecting them. Essentially, if you're just using one of my Twitter backgrounds on your own Twitter profile, you have nothing to worry about.

And finally, thinking about making your own custom Twitter background?

Okay that's it. Enjoy!
